Description:Zambian Amethyst is some of the most well known and attractive Amethyst on the planet. This gem does not have a terribly dark color, but it is a very unique as it has concave/linear facetting on the pavillion to create a very unique effect. The stone has a "Cushion" shape, but the interesting lines and triangular shapes on the pavillion of the stone is what makes it stand out from an ordinary Amethyst gem. I have rarely seen gems with this kind of facetting/cutting, and I think it is a great novelty stone for a collector, or would certainly make a very attractive piece of jewelry for somebody with a February birthday as Amethyst is the birthstone for that month.
