Description:Spinel is one of those gems that comes in a great range of colors. Most people are familiar with the Ruby Spinels, for their eye-catching color. This gem is an attractive, good sized, virtually eye clean, rich red color, "Oval" cut gemstone. This gem has a very attractive hue and the clarity is impressive. It is difficult to find superb quality Spinels, because of political upheaval in southeast Asia. It appears that these stones will soon be very very hard to come across and the days of the good Ruby Spinels may be dwindling. The high retail value on this stone is $284.00
