Dioptase has one of the most distinctive and alluring colors of any crystallized mineral species. Dioptase is known as one of the premier species from localities like Tsumeb, and is a favorite among collectors world wide This facetted gem is actually from Republic of Congo, not Tsumeb, and it is one of the few Dioptase stones I have offered from Kimbedi. Now this gem is not 100% gem quality, but it's certainly gemmy when backlit, and it has the classic electric emerald green color for which the species is known. This "Round" cut stone is a good representative example of the material, and hard to find from this locality. I will say that the supply of Dioptase rough on the market is minimal at best. This would be a superb opportunity to obtain a Dioptase gem to pair with one of your specimens for a rough and cut set!
