Item Description

This is one of the lesser known localities for fine quality Peridot in the world. Some of the world's finest Peridot gem sections are found near the town of Salida in central Colorado. They are truly some of the best color and elusive Peridot gems extant. It is not terribly well-known material outside of local collectors, and few people ever see good specimens or gemstones except in collections. This particular gem is a nice green color (with a very slight but distinctive yellow overtone), virtually eye clean "Rectangle" cut stone of this beautiful material. For the overall size and saturation of color, this is not just an ordinary Peridot like those from Arizona, this is a hard to find and significant gem. The size is not considered small Colorado standards either. There is a fast-growing market for gems from the United States, and we have had great difficulty keeping them in stock, whether it be Rhodochrosite from the Sweet Home Mine in Colorado, Benitoite from California, Hiddenite from North Carolina, Red Beryl from Utah, etc, so don't miss out on this one as they are becoming difficult to obtain today.
