Description:Petalite is one of the rarer Lithium Silicates on the market and when this material is facetted, it produces some sparkling gems that have a very "glass like" appearance. Petalites are usually small, mostly because the rough is not very common in larger sizes, and very rarely is it clean enough to cut large stones. These stones are desired for their rarity, as there are only a few localities in the world that produce this material. This stone is a stunning, bright, colorless, very slightly included stone, with an "Elongated Emerald" cut. It is one of the largest Petalites I've offered on the auctions, and will probably end up being a great bargain for one of you lucky bidders. The high end retail value on this stone is $1185.75
