Datolite - unusually richly incl. w/ Copper (old classic)

An OLD-TIME, large, extremely rich pinkish-red, copper-included datolite nodule from Copper Country. The large, sawed nodule rests on vesicular basalt, adding sculptural quality and pizzazz. The polished front has high luster and nice porcelaneous texture. Red and yellow are THE most desirable colors for Michigan datolite nodules. The quality of this large piece is off the charts. Ten 4 mm slabs of diminishing size could be cut from this very fine nodule. From an East Coast collection and comes with a century-old water-stained and faded label. Value of such a fine old-timer??
