Item Description

An aesthetic 1.4 cm wide corsage of lustrous, translucent, grayish-brown, howlite prisms is jauntily set atop the sculptural matrix sliver. Howlite is a rarely crystallized borate found in gypsum and anhydrite deposits and this excellent piece is from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. The howlite Type Locality is also in Nova Scotia. Seldom on the market.
