Item Description

A fascinating, highly sculptural bi-colored tourmaline from the famous Himalaya Mine. A 3.6 cm, doubly terminated, gemmy "Himalaya pink" tourmaline is strikingly set in the side of the "cityscape" terminated large crystal. Classic pink hues at the termination with a beautiful pink 1.3 cm gem nodule at the base encase the contrasting gemmy light apple-green mid-section. The very glassy, highly lustrous, well-striated crystal has frosted faces and the gemmy lilac lepidolites at the base add pizzazz. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. A modest bit of bruising to the top of the green section left of the pencil and a healed area at the termination with additional tiny tourmaline growth are noted, but certainly have only very minimal impact to this impressive, unusual looking classic. Old-time material from the 1950s to 70s finds. 33 grams mass.
