Description:I LOVE this quartz! It is so brilliant and sparkling, and because of its association with the reptilian scale-like lepidolite, so different than others. The quartz itself is slightly smoky, and brilliantly glassy and lustrous. It is totally clear and gemmy. It is prisitne but for a few tiny dings only. The lepidolite, and the aesthetic interaction of the two species, make the piece. The lepidolite is brighter and more metallic than any other such example I have seen, and contrasts with teh quartz in every way to accent each other. Its a common mineral in combination, to make a really extraordinary piece I cannot rave enough about. Probably my favorite in this whole auction.
