Description:Dalnegorsk amethyst! A rarity! This is from a very small, surprising find in 2006. The specimens are not world-class for the species, but the importance here is the locality; and, actually, they ARE rather pretty – with good transparency, glassy lustre and a very delicate lavender color. The terminations of the 4 major crystals are nearly pristine, with just a few tiny dings. Periphery wear is noted, but is a modest detraction to this beautiful cluster. There are 4 fine crystals here, really gemmy.
