Description:An uncommon combination specimen from the historic Geevor Mine of Cornwall. Atacamite is rarely seen from Geevor, but this excellent piece has sharp, green, atacamite crystals to about 3 mm on crystallized to massive chalcocite. The lustrous, drill bit-twin, chalcocite crystal next to the atacamites is 5mm. The matrix includes iridescent chalcopyrite, siderite, quartz crystals and malachite. A rich ore specimen from this historic, rich mine that operated intermittently from the late 1700s to 1990! Ex Nick Talbot and Wes Parker Collections.
