Description:Fine galena specimens from the Southern Illinois Fluorite District are not all that common. This striking group of intergrown, cuboctahedral galena is complete all-around and is very nearly pristine! One side is elegantly accented with gemmy and lustrous, deep purple fluorite crystals. The galena has good lustre with a dark battleship-gray color. You have to look hard to see the very trivial periphery wear. Excellent and rarely available material in this quality from the George Feist Collection # 3123.
