Description:A dramatic, very attractive CABINET calcite specimen from recent finds at Santa Eulalia, Mexico. Sharp, lustrous, and translucent, dogtooth calcite crystals are partially coated with hematite and have striking, clay-stained, internal, hematite phantoms, or as in this case, the translucent, wine-red, scalenohedrons are partially free-standing. Crystals reach 6.0 cm on this striking piece. Complete all-around, a bit of periphery wear is noted along with the modest termination wear to the large, wine-red dogtooth. The vast majority of the calcites are in great shape. This remains impressive large piece.
