Description:A classic and rarely seen hubnerite specimen from the Yukon Mine in the famous Silverton Mining District. Highly lustrous sprays of intergrown, reddish-brown, hubnerite blades make for a showy and excellent two-sided specimen. The blades rest on typical "San Juan quartz" that is so characteristic of the region. One of the few specimens of this material that I have ever seen. The piece was probably mined in the 1960s. Ex. Wes Parker Collection. Very uncommon and desirable material for the locality or species collector.
