Description:A huge and impressive, LARGE CABINET, drusy quartz/chalcedony stalactite from 2008-2009 finds at Malad, India. This club-shaped monster has numerous pseudomorphs stacked atop each other at the top of the piece. The drusy quartz has pseudomorphed calcite crystals of several different habits: blocky, rhombic to elongated, pyramidal, doubly terminated ! The prominent, jutting, smaller, 2.2 x 2.2 cm, blocky pseudo is actually an epimorph, a cast after a calcite crystal and the calcite has been dissolved away. Small holes reveal, that this cast is hollow. There are scattered patches of green prehnite about as a nice accent. The giant stalactite and multiple pseudomorphs are uncommon from the famous quarries at Malad, near Bombay. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, this is a bizarre and imposing specimen quite unlike the norm from here.
