Description:Striking, iridescent, galena cubes to 1.0 cm are richly and attractively sprinkled on the mounded limestone matrix. The galena cubes are accented by sparkly drusy quartz, siderite and ankerite crystals. This is a classic combination specimen from this famous and historic Alston Moor locale - the Smallcleugh Mine. Iridescent galena is very uncommon from this noted locale and many of the crystals have modified corners. Ex Wes Parker Collection. Valued at $350-400.
