Description:A dramatic and rare, CABINET, combination specimen from the famous Stari Trg Mine at Trepca. A striking, complete all-around and pristine, upright cluster of glassy quartz crystals to 4.7 cm tall is aesthetically set on a plate of mildly iridescent and lustrous bornite. Strikingly iridescent chalcopyrite is a super accent on the fringe of the piece. Bruising to smaller, secondary, quartz crystal clusters is noted, but is an extremely minimal detraction to the overall quality of this very fine specimen. Bornite is rarely encountered on Trepca pieces, so this is certainly a highly desirable older specimen in classy combination with quartz. Ex Wes Parker Collection.
