Description:A classic, 2.0 cm, lustrous, translucent, rose-red, rhodochrosite rhomb is elegantly perched atop needle quartz matrix on this fine specimen from the famous 1970s finds at the famous Huayllapon Mine at Pasto Bueno. Complete all-around and pristine. This is certainly an above average example of the combination species and noted locale. Rarely available in this quality, except from recycled advanced collections. Ex John Ydren Collection. Valued at $500-700.
