Description:An aesthetic and rarely seen matrix specimen of Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite from the now famous discovery of 2007 at Milpillas. Although there were many of these specimens available a few years ago, fine quality, undamaged display specimens such as this one were few and far between. There are several, fine quality, velvety, dark forest-green crystals (measuring up to 1.4 cm) of Malachite that have altered from Azurite sitting atop a matrix with minor associated Chrysocolla. The reverse side of the Malachite crystals shows some additional Chrysocolla along with a small blue "sphere" of rarely seen Plancheite ! A very nice matrix specimen of this well known materia.
