Description:This mine has produced some very well known Rhodochrosite specimens in its history. This piece has some very attractive, very sharp, well-formed, rhombohedral crystals of light pink colored Rhodochrosite which are associated with gemmy colorless prismatic Quartz crystals on matrix. The largest Rhodo rhomb measurs 1.2 cm across, and most of the crystals near the center of the piece are pristine. A great specimen for any collector of Rhodochrosites or specimens from Colorado as this one truly stands out among so many inferior pieces from this well known mine in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado.
