Description:An excellent and very showy specimen of a water-clear quartz crystal richly filled with a "feather" of brilliant, silvery rutile needles and red brookite blades from Diamantina, Brazil. This sharp pseudohexagonal crystal has some water-clear faces and some preferentially frosted. A bit of very trivial edgwear is noted, but is not a detraction, as you can see. The combination of rutile and brookite included in quartz is very uncommon from Diamantina.
