Description:This showy thumbnail is richly covered with sharp, scorodite crystals. The crystals, to 1.1 cm (large for the find), have variously a blue or blue-green surface sheen, are high in lustre and are gemmy to opaque. This 2008 find was the FIRST new worldwide find of scorodites in many years! This is a major discovery and the gemmy specimens, such as this, were not that common. This is a highly representative piece from the lot, with isolated crystals and is nicely accented with brassy, pyrite microcrystals. valued $400-450
