Description:Many collectors do not know that Touissit has now and then turned out a trickle of really pretty smithsonites. This excellent CABINET plate features scintillating, sea-green to olive-brown, translucent botryoids on the undulating gossan matrix. The wet lustre and glassiness is striking. Ex Frankie Dee Hosea and Robert Whitmore Collections. One rarely sees such high quality smithsonite from this locality, which spits out a pocket only sparingly, seemingly once a decade or so.
