Description:An attractive large thumbnail sized specimen of Magnesite from Brumado. This locality is a giant mountain that is filled with superb quality specimens Magnesite (used commercially for flux in manufacturing steel). This mine has produced some of the finest Magnesite specimens in the world, and does not get the credit it deserves. This large thumbnail sized specimen features a predominant, sharp, gemmy colorless rhomb of Magnesite with modifying faces on the corners with a few smaller gemmy crystals of Magnesite at the base. Overall in good shape, with only a slight amount of edge wear. A good specimen of this well known and underappreciated material from Brazil.
