Description:A striking edge phantom of pleasing, powder-blue ajoite is dramatically included in the termination of a sharp, water-clear, quartz crystal from a New Find at the famous Messina Mine of South Africa. Three sides of the crystal are preferentially coated with iron oxides making for a very showy piece. The glassy crystal faces are very lightly frosted. A minute bit of termination edgewear is barely noticeable and is certainly not a detraction. This is an impressive, highly representive example of the ultra-rare copper silicate, named after its discovery locality, the New Cornelia Mine, Ajo, Arizona. Valued at $700-800.
