Description:Gemmy and lustrous, brown eosphorite blades are richly and aesthetically scattered on the sharp, skeletal, quartz crystal. Very interestingly, a secondary, gray, iron-oxide preferentially coats the quartz termination and only some of the eosphorite crystals. Eosphorite is a rare phosphate and this showy and excellent example from a famous locale for eosphorite - Taquaral, Minas Gerais. Specimens of this quality came out in the 1960s and 1970s and are only available from advanced recycled collections. There are very, very few broken blades, for such rich coverage. Ex. Robert Whitmore Collection. Valued at $300.
