Description:Tsavorite is the ultra rare, green, chromium or vanadian variety of grossular garnet, found in few places worldwide, all in Africa. This very fine, large crystal has stunning electric light green color, fabulous clarity and superb lustre. The front is complexly crystallized and a nifty, small, diopside crystal is hidden on the back. A small cleave on the back of the termination is out of sight; and a small contact at the base is a very minor detraction. This is a large, impressive, gemmy and rarely available tsavorite crystal. Nearly all crystals this size are cut into gemstones. 17.39 carats. Valued at $1000-1250.
