Description:Two, gorgeous, supremely gemmy and lustrous, bright reddish-orange wulfenite crystals are aesthetically set on the frosted, quartz crystal-covered matrix on this excellent specimen from the famous and now-closed Red Cloud Mine. The large, compound crystal is 1.6 cm and both crystals have striking, beveled edges. The quality and colore of these two crystals are top flight for the 2003 Red Gem Pocket and the association with the quartz crystals is uncommon and desirable. A bit of edgewear to the large crystal is a very modest detraction to the overall impact of this piece. This is one of the very best Red Gem Pocket specimens, that we have offered at auction.
