Description:A pleasing, powder-blue, 4 mm ajoite ball with a stunning halo of ajoite is strikingly included in the face of a glassy, 5.3 cm, quartz crystal attached to a scuptural crust. The ajoite halo is surreal and the double refraction at the quartz crystal edge is really neat. This aesthetic piece is from a New Find at the famous Messina Mine of South Africa. A ding in the face of one crystal is noted, but this is an impressive, highly representive example of the ultra-rare copper silicate, named after its discovery locality, the New Cornelia Mine, Ajo, Arizona.
