Description:An exquisite cluster of gemmy and lustrous purple (manganoan) adamite crystals is aesthetically perched atop the toenail-sized gossan matrix. Purple (manganoan) adamite is one of the three Holy Grail species from Mina Ojuela, along with legrandite and scorodite. The pristine crystals are the top of the piece are minimally impacted by the broken crystals in the front of the cluster. This piece is from the one-time find in 1981 and is SUPER representative for this very desirable manganoan-adamite species (erroneously once though to be cobaltoan). Although small overall, the QUALITY is what matters on these pieces: I would value this around $800-1000 for the excellent quality and aesthetics.
