Description:The most well known specimens of rare hydrated calcium titanium iron manganese arsenate species are found at the famous mountain of Scherbadung (German name) or Cervandone (Italian name), in the Binntal on the Swiss/Italian border of the Alps. This specimen is an excellent display piece of Cafarsite featuring fairly sharp, rusty-bronze colored, altered, modified octahedral crystals with Clinochlore on matrix. The largest Cafarsite measures 6.5 mm across, and the piece is filled with crystals. A good representative specimen of Cafarsite from this classic Alpine locality. From the famous Alpine collection of Richard A. Kosnar. Valued at $500-$650 retail.
