Description:A classic specimen of the famous "Campylite" from the Dry Gill Mine in England. This variety of Mimetite is most commonly associated with this locality, and its distinctive rusty orange color and somewhat spherical barrel-shaped crystals are some of the most well known of all English minerals. The piece features several lustrous, rich orange to almost brown colored spherical aggregates of Campylite on a black matrix of Romanèchite(?). The largest Campylite group measures 7 mm across. A nice full-sized thumbnail specimen of this well-known historic material.
