Description:An excellent, sharp, lustrous, well-formed, gemmy, purple colored Amethyst scepter on white Quartz from the classic locality at Denny Mountain. The termination is included with small acicular crystals of Lepidocrocite/Goethite/Hematite creating the beautiful "Strawberry Quartz" effect that is known from this area. This locality has produced some of the best scepter crystals from the United States, and has actually cost some collector their lives because the terrain is so treacherous and deadly. The piece is complete all the way around, and stands as one of the better thumbnail sized specimens of this material that I have offered in the auctions.
