Description:The Sherman mine produced some of the most impressive golden Barite specimens from Colorado, and when they're good, they're amazing. This mine is long closed and hasn't produced specimens for nearly 20 years, and these pieces are highly prized by Colorado collectors. They simply aren't seen on the market today, like most great U.S. classics. This specimen comprises fine, sharp, lustrous, tabular, GEM/gemmy bright golden color Barite crystals up to 1.1 cm. The color of this specimen is beautiful and much less common as many Barites from the Sherman were more pale in color. A great Colorado classic from approximately 30 years ago.
