Description:The Alps of Europe are well known for their "cleft" deposits, and these localities produce a wide variety of species, including Zeolites ! This locality in the famous Hohe Tauern Mountains of central Austria is well known for its Zeolite specimens. This particular specimen hosts a few chalk-white, bladed, Stilbite crystals which are oriented into radiating aggregates up to 1.0 cm across, which are associated with a few Quartz crystals on matrix. The piece is from the Alpine collection of Brian Kosnar and originated from the collection of Prof. Johann Zenz in Austria. According to Zenz's label, this specimen was collected in 1972.
