Description:This locality is probably best known for its Starolite and Kyanite specimen. This particular specimen features a few, translucent, blue Kyanite crystals sitting on a light smoky colored shard of Quartz creating a CLASSIC Swiss specimen from a famous locality. A highly representative piece for the species and locality. The specimen has some minor associated Starolite as well. The Kyanite crystals have good color compared to most I have seen from Pizzo Forno. The largest crystal measures 3.2 cm.
