Description:This locality in northern Romania actually dates back to the time of the Romans, and is one of the most significant European localities hands down. This piece is a very showy classic Romanian Mangano-Calcite specimen featuring a beautiful light pink somewhat narrow scalenohedral crystal groups which are sprinkled with small, metallic, golden cuboctahedral Pyrite on matrix. While a few of the Calcite crystals are broken, many of them are fully terminated, which is more than can be said of many of the Calcite specimens from this locality. A nice small cabinet size matrix display specimen of this prized material.
