Description:A cool Sphalerite specimen from the collection of Rich Kosnar, who personally obtained this piece while visiting Peru in 1971. A few translucent, rich golden orange color modified crystals of Sphalerite sitting atop sharp, lustrous, octahedral Pyrite. The specific mine where the piece was discovered is unknown, but the quality and cool association of a transparent sulfide with a metallic sulfide together on the same piece is certainly noteworthy.
