Description:A beautiful display specimen of the classic Cerussites from Stribro (Mies) in the Czech Republic. The piece hosts a pair of predominant, pseudohexagonal groups of Cerussite measuring up to 2.0 cm across which are sitting atop metallic grey Galena matrix. The Cerussite are coated by soft yellow Calcite(?) and are very aesthetically sitting on the Galena. One of the very few specimens of this classic material that I have offered in the auctions. This locality dates back nearly 1000 years, and is one of the most well known central European lead deposits extant. Valued at $800 retail.
