Description:Of the hundreds of species from the Franklin Mining District, Rhodochrosite is fairly uncommon and good specimens are few and far between. The species is found in countless worldwide localities, but pieces from Franklin are always a treat to see. This piece features several micro, lustrous, pink Rhodochrosite crystals on matrix. The piece came to Rich Kosnar from noted New Jersey collector Pat Gross, and her cardboard mounting box accompanies the piece. According to the label, this is a rare form of Rhodo for Franklin. A cool specimen of this classic material.
