Description:Gold specimens from Leadville are not common on the market, and typically are snatched up immediately by collectors when they are made available. Recently, a local digger discovered a small amount of crytallized Gold specimens on the dumps of the Little Johnnie Mine, and this piece is one of said specimens. The piece features a few small braching crytallized "twigs" and "leaves" of Gold flaring out of white massive Quartz. I have photographed the Gold under the microscope to better show the detail. A cool little Gold specimen from this historic and classic Colorado locality.
