Description:A great display specimen of this well known and beautiful material from Choix. The label on the specimen states that it's from Matehuala, Potosi, Mexico, but I can't find a reference for Smithsonite from this area. This lovely and aesthetic specimen features wonderful spherical crystal aggregates of lustrous, translucent, lavender pink, Smithsonite, which contrasts beautifully with the gossan matrix. Top luster and color, and really eye-catching. A very worthwhile full-sized miniature of this desirable and somewhat hard to find material.
