Description:Gold specimens from Leadville are not common on the market, and typically are snatched up immediately by collectors when they are made available. Recently, a local digger discovered a small amount of crytallized Gold specimens on the dumps of the Little Johnnie Mine, and this piece is one of said specimens. The piece features small crytallized "leaves" of Gold on grey massive Quartz. I have photographed the Gold under the microscope to better show the detail. A cool little Gold specimen from this historic and classic Colorado locality.
