Description:A rare Labuntsovite specimen from the famous Kola Peninsula in northern Russia. I don't know specifically which species of Labuntsovite this is, but there's enough of it on the specimen to have it tested. I can say for certain that this piece is from the type locality, as all three species of Labuntsovite are from the Khibiny Massif. The piece hosts a small areas of rich orange color Labuntsovite on Feldspar matrix. I photographed the crystals under the microscope to better illustrate the quality. If you're a rare mineral collector, be sure to pick this one up.
