Description:The various sedimentary quarries in the midwest produce only a handful of species, Fluorite being one of the staples. During the early part of the 1970s, the May Quarry produced some excellent quality display specimen of light golden-yellow Fluorite cubes on matrix. This piece features two sharp, gemmy, lustrous, translucent cubes with good color on a minor amount of matrix. The main Fluorite cube which measures 2.1 cm has a rough spot on one corner, but otherwise in good shape.
