Item Description

Intergrown, sharply terminated, tannish-gray, lustrous, translucent, tetragonal scheelite crystals form a very sculptural and aesthetic 360-degree miniature from this polymetallic ore field. Complete all-around, with only one gently bruised termination. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 13044. Her label is incorrect. Scheelite is listed by MINDAT for Rucheng County in Hunan Province, but specimes are EXTREMELY RARE. Probably from the well-known Xianghuapu Mine in Hunan Province, according to a respected China expert. Bright ghostly white fluorescence. Scheelites from here are RARE compared to famous Mt. Xuebaoding.
