Item Description

A sculptural cluster of classic sherry topaz crystals from this famous Mexican locale. The sharp, very glassy, lustrous crystals are partially water-clear gem with areas of typical rhyolite "sand" included and embedded-on the crystals. The large crystal is doubly terminated and this 360-degree cutie is complete all-around and pristine. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 6146 and acquired in January, 1970. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). This fine old-time specimen could be from the major 1964 find.
