Item Description

A glorious, highly sculptural large two-sided amethyst specimen from recent finds in Indonesia. Striking grape-like clusters of lavender amethyst botryoids are aesthetically attached to both sides of the dramatic thin matrix crust covered with amethyst. Originally marketed as agate, these have been recently shown to be amethyst. These have caused a major stir at recent shows and are certainly beautiful and artistically fine specimens. Botryoidal amethyst is quite rare worldwide. This outstanding, rare style large amethyst has MULTIPLE fine display views from both sides!
