Item Description

Two generations of beautiful two-toned blue, waxy luster smithsonite botryoids cover the vuggy walls of the amazingly sculptural limestone matrix on this dramatic 4-sided specimen from the famous Kelly Mine. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 9684 and acquired from Harvey Gordon in September, 1982. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). Very cute and classic Kelly Mine smithsonite. The piece has multiple fine display views.
