Item Description

Gypsum is found all over the world, but for the most part, it doesn't occur in brightly colored crystals often. The specimens from Mount Gunson Copper mines sometimes occur in bright green specimens, which are completely natural, and colored by copper solutions. This piece is filled with small, thin prismatic soft glowing green Gypsum crystals forming an attractive overall specimen. The largest crystal measures 1.8 cm long, and many of them show beautiful "fishtail" twins on the terminations. Nearly damage free and very attractive for the species, especially from the standpoint of the rare green color.
